Acoustic Gig: Cambridge 12th April

March 3rd, 2008 by Ed

More details to follow, but John Ruscoe and I are playing an acoustic gig in Cambridge in April. We haven’t worked out a set yet, but suspect it’ll be a mix of Sink and Big Ray numbers with the odd cover and maybe a new song or two. Hoping this will be the start of us doing it as a regular partnership, but we’re both really busy so it’ll be patchy at best. Looking forward to it though. Will post more info as I get it from the guys putting it on.

UPDATE: The promoters have a website at  www.ciarafest.co.uk and tickets are on sale here.

Cool, is this for Ciarafest at the Portland? I live near Cambridge so will definitely make it. Probably. I certainly intend to attend anyway :-)

    I sincerely hope it’s going to be recorded… :)

Mark, yep this is for Ciarafest at the Portland.

Andy, I’ll try and record it. Prepare yourself for the fact that we won’t be doing ‘Beautiful Ghosts’ though. Sorry. I can’t even remember what tuning I wrote the song in let alone what the chords were.

If these gigs do become more regular any chance of a return to Ippo ?

I’m sure there’s a suitable venue that could host such a musical colossus !

Wast, I hear there’s an Ippo Rock City summer wedding in the offing…with bands playing…makes you think, innit?
    :-)

At said wedding feel free to pick up a geetar if there’s one nearby and strum a few tunes my friend. It’s going to be that kind of day.

Me, Karl, Jay and James are going to arrange a jolly boys outing to the Cambridge gig. Been a while since we’ve all seen the Wennster perform…in a musical context !!!
